Недавно делал на тему случайной торговли на российском рынке. Теперь применим ту же самую случайную стратегию для американского рынка. Возьмем акции из индекса SP100, в который входят 100 самых крутых американских компаний и будем случайным образом открывать и закрывать позиции. Одновременно может быть открыто до десяти позиций, то есть делим капитал на десять раных частей и на каждую открываем по одной позиции. Тесты будут за десять последних лет, без плеча. После прогона теста на исторических данных, применяем метод Монте-Карло — делаем тысячу случайно сгенерированных тестов и смотрим результаты.
Сначала будем играть только в лонг:
На картинке график, на основании тысячи тестов, показывает зависимость вероятности получения прибыли/убытка. Видим что вероятности получения убытка за десять лет при случайной торговле в лонг, вообще, нет, Есть, например 90% вероятность что за 10 лет заработали бы не менее 75% прибыли. Или 50% вероятность получения 125% прибыли. То есть, все это в зависимости от везения, так как позиции открываются и закрываются случайным образом. Но факт что вероятность получения убытка за десять лет торговли равна нулю.
Здесь видим что средняя прибыль за 10 лет равна примерно 130%:

Теперь, проделаем все то же самое, но только в шорт. То есть будем случайным образом открывать и закрывать короткие позиции.
И сразу же видим что вероятность получения профита за 10 лет равна нулю. В лучшем случае, с вероятностью 0,001% можем потерять примерно -57% от капитала. А так, в среднем 50% вероятность что будет потеряно -74%.
Это распределение убытков тысячи тестов со средним значением убытка -74%.

Какие выводы из этого? Думаю, что они напрашиваются сами собой. Если даже самый последний новичок пришел бы на американский рынок и стал бы случайным образом открывать длинные позиции и так же их закрывать, то слить счет или даже оказаться в минусе за последние десять лет было бы невозможно. А заодно и заработал бы больше американской ставки.
Но если бы заболел игрой в шорт, то на длинной дистанции, практически, лишился бы своего капитала.
Если бы стал торговать смешанно, то в лонг, то в шорт, то результат был бы непредсказуем и скорее всего колебался бы у нуля и ниже.

Ну и скажу так же о своем опыте торговли, когда я начал это делать в 2005 году. Никакой системы у меня, естественно, не было. Я просто СЛУЧАЙНЫМ ОБРАЗОМ покупал акции компаний, которые знал, например Майкрософт, Банк оф америка и др., но самое главное, ТОЛЬКО В ЛОНГ. Именно поэтому у меня с того момента не было ни одного убыточного года. С другой стороны я помню считающих себя очень опытными, как фундаментально, так и технически, которые с умными обоснованиями упорно шортили Амазон на всем пути его восхождения…. другими словами, как говорится, считали себя умнее рынка. Я верю что они очень умны и интеллектуальны, но они просто не знали что шортить американский рынок НЕЛЬЗЯ. :)
