predictable irrationality at its best

I think, what many people know, that people are more afraid of dying in a plane crash, than in a car accident. and accordingly estimate the chances in the first case higher. more willing to pay for insurance against an act of terrorism, than for insurance against everything including acts of terror. so, who insists on free possession of firearms, same. illusion of control distorts estimates of probability. people think, that the chance to defend with a weapon in the event of an attack is higher, than the chance to fall victim to firearms due to their widespread use. just a few behavior biases. same, what to say on the phone while driving, counting, what “No, the effect of limited attention does not concern me”. but how many emotions, how much talk about freedom and in general, about anything. fundamentals of behavioral economics in school, could qualitatively improve the life of future generations. I'm only afraid, that the staff of churches and political / community organizations will do their best, so that this does not happen :)
