SPb-Exchange summed up the results of the last year. Compared to 2020, the number of customers increased by almost one and a half times, the average volume of one transaction is more than a third.
Here is the data on trading in comparison with 2020:
- trading volume — 393 billion dollars (+135%);
- number of transactions - 348 million (+71%);
- average deal volume — 1132 $ (+37%).
And this is customer data for December 2021 compared to December 2020:
- client accounts - 18 million (+143%);
- unique customers — 12 million (+141%);
- active accounts — 811 thousand (+33%);
- accounts with stock positions — 1.6 million (+114%);
At the end of the year, the top 20 securities accounted for 49% of the total trading volume. Three most traded issuers: Tesla — 10%, Virgin Galactic — 8,8% and Alibaba — 4,1%.
In 2021, the exchange launched the SPB100 index, which reflects the average portfolio of the investor. This index includes 100 issuers, who hold the largest share in portfolios. Here the leaders are the same: Alibaba — 7,5%, Tesla — 5,5%, Virgin Galactic — 5,2%.
