The importance of practice

Matayuro Yagyu was the son of a famous swordsman. His father, realizing, that my son works too mediocre, to expect skill from him, renounced it. Then Matayuro went to Mount Futara and here he found the famous swordsman Banjo. But Banjo confirmed his father's opinion.. – You want to learn the art of swordsmanship under my guidance? – asked Banjo. – But you don't meet my requirements!
– But if I try really hard, in how many years can i become a master? – the young man insisted.
– You need the rest of your life, – answered Banjo.
– I can't wait that long, – explained Matayuro. – I agree to work day and night, if you only agree to teach me. If I become your trusted servant, how long will it take?
– ABOUT, may be, about ten, – Banjo relented.
– My father is old, and soon I will have to take care of him, – continued Matayuro. – If I work harder, how long will it take?
– ABOUT, may be, about thirty, – said Banjo.
– How so?? – asked Matayuro. – First you said ten, and now thirty? I am ready to endure any difficulties, if only to learn this skill in the shortest possible time.
– In this case,, – said Banjo, – you must stay with me for seventy years. Person, who is in such a hurry to get results, rarely learns quickly.
– Good, – said the young man, finally realizing, that he was reproached for impatience. – I agree.
The master suggested that Matayuro never talk about fencing or touch the sword.. He cooked food for the teacher, was washing dishes, made his bed, swept the yard, tended the garden and did not mention a word about the art of swordsmanship. It's been three years. Matayuro was still working. Thinking about your future, he was getting sadder. He hasn't even started to study art yet., to whom he dedicated his life. But one day, Banjo crept up behind him and hit him terribly hard with a wooden sword.. The next day, when Matayuro cooked rice, Banjo unexpectedly attacked him again.. After that, day and night, Matayuro had to be ready to defend against unexpected attacks.. Not a single minute passed, so he doesn't think about Banjo's sword attack. He learned so fast, that brought a smile to his teacher's face. Matayuro became the greatest swordsman in the country.
