но вот смотрите. for some X years, the consumption of animal protein has increased and the incidence of the same cancer has increased. over the same X years the population has grown. correlation? еще как correlation. number of Madonna tracks? – right, also grew – about, correlation! index S&P 500 – grew up too! number of books printed? also grew! number of doctors? also grew! and we are not yet beginning to talk about the third factor causing both phenomena or about, that with all due respect, correlation does not mean causation. but its presence / absence is not so difficult to establish :)
let's add a few more aspects here – as an attempt to explain complex (but historically repeated) phenomena with one simple factor and the likelihood of running into “new 25 кадр” or “Mozart effect” grows even stronger.
