This week I continued to trade in gold, using the old gold trading system. Tuesday was +50%, on Thursday + 28%, but we ended up with the result -36%.
The system gives good results, when the price of a precious metal goes through good intervals without a sawtooth pattern on the chart. She was good, when gold was trading at 1600-1800 Dollars. Now the profit is eaten up by false reversal signals, so you often have to change the direction of positions, and passages in one direction along 20-50 no dollars. And i'm not sure, that it makes sense to continue. All week in the market, roller coaster in equity and negative result…
I guess, what gold can reach soon 1380 dollars for that, but again, the summer market has its own specifics, so does it make sense to get a drawdown again in 30-40%, чтобы снять 100-200%?
I promised to limit the drawdown to a week 15%, but could not fulfill this promise: already on Monday the bill went to -20%, and +50% on Tuesday was received only due to the processing of all signals. However, it doesn't decorate me at all — no one pulled the tongue.
Now I'm going back to the majors. The strategy is the same, that in the first weeks from 10% in Week, but already without xauusd. I will try to greatly reduce the number of transactions, filtering out weak signals.
